🍞 Daily Bread
“Give us this day our daily bread.” – Matthew 6:11
Around our table, bread is more than a side dish — it’s a reminder of God’s provision. From biscuits on Sunday mornings to cornbread with supper, bread reminds us that God meets our needs day by day. We don’t always get tomorrow’s answers, but He never fails to give us today’s portion.
🌾 Harvest Blessings
“Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” – Galatians 6:9
Gardening has taught me patience — you plant, you water, you wait. Just like in life, we don’t always see the fruit right away. But in God’s timing, the harvest comes. Every pot of peas and every cob of corn on our table is a testimony of His faithfulness.
🕊 Peace at the Table
“Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife.” – Proverbs 17:1
Some nights, supper looks like a simple sandwich or leftovers — but the peace around the table matters more than the food on it. I’d take peanut butter sandwiches with laughter over steak with arguments any day. The real feast is love and togetherness.
🍯 Sweet Like Honey
“Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” – Proverbs 16:24
Food fills our bellies, but words fill our hearts. Just like a spoonful of sugar makes the tea sweet, kind words can change the whole mood of a home. Let’s season our speech with grace the way we season our food with salt.
